Kondogbia: "We have to lift our heads up and win the next game"
Geoffrey Kondogbia spoke to VCF Media after the game against Real Sociedad, and emphasised the need for the team to put the mistakes made behind them. The midfielder was insistent that the players can learn from the 1-1 draw at Mestalla on Matchday 1 over the course of the season.
The late Real Sociedad equaliser.
"It was a mistake. When we play at home and have a one-goal lead, we can't concede in the final minute. It's a mistake by the entire team, and we have to learn from it."
The penalty miss and chances for VCF
"We had opportunities to win the game, but in the end winning is the most important thing. We made mistakes with certain things, but we have to learn from this. We still have a long way to go, so we need to lift our heads up and win the next game."
Support from Mestalla
"The support from the fans is always a plus for us, above all when we play at home. It's very important for the players. I think we saw that today. We have to fight to take the three points in the next game, but the fans always supported us as they know how."
The next game, against Celta
"We have to pick ourselves up. We have a difficult game ahead, but we will be fightig to the fullest to win."
